Question

Aircraft Crash Investigation at National Geographic Channel
I would like to ask your expert comments over the very important issue for everybody. Why aircraft crash when they are made by expert companies with all proper checking and tested. I have seen a program at National Geographic Channel, it was about Aircraft Crash Investigation. And they really investigates the reason of the crash or cause of accident. what do you say on this..? because sometime you must be traveling by a plane. Don\'t you..?

air crash is a typical accident we can ever think of. And if it is a passenger airplane then this is the worst case in air crash chain. Fighter planes are meant to dive & fight like anything and sometime they can be crash during some high end practices or some high end opeartions. but as far as the passenger planes are concern, if they crashed, they normally took 100 of lives.

for the common people this is very typical to tell how can we save these accidents or how can we protect planes. This is the job of the manufactures, that they have to go with all the techinical & practical experiements before they launch any air craft. most of the cases happens, due to low visibility, fuel problem, big birds around the plane, or some technical problem (although which is a rare case).

I know a case whereby a plane was running out of fuel was carring 149 passengers. they had contacted many airport authorities for emergency landing but they did not allow them. they were far from they final destination. finally plane crashed and took all 149 lives in side including 12 kids. :-(

Jet engines in use on today’s commercial airliners are quite reliable. It is not uncommon for engines to operate for tens of thousands of hours without difficulty before being removed from service for scheduled inspection. However, engine malfunctions or failures occasionally occur that require an engine to be shut down in flight. Since multi-engine airplanes are designed to fly with one engine inoperative and flight crews are trained to fly with one engine inoperative, the in-flight shutdown of an engine typically does not constitute a safety of flight issue.

this is the interesting one. this is not something that we can control but yes we must go for the safety as far as these crashes are concern, not true that everytime passengers are the cause of the aircrash but sometime it happens.

i have seen a live accident when i was attending a parade in california long time back and a plane was performing some stunts there suddenly it came & crashed down to the ground at the same place where public was sitting. nobody got dead but 100 of people got injured and both the pilots lost their lives.
