Cold water application is the first thing that you should do BUT tooth-paste etc should be the last treatment!! The burnt part should be cooled for the maximum time to relieve pain, with cold water/ice/fresh cream BUT not anything that contains any chemical like tooth-paste. Then sterlized dressing should be done with a good antiseptic ointment like betadine, soframycin. Re-hydartion of the patient should be done to avoid shock, NS/dextrose drip is the choice. To get rid of the pain, injection Voveron should be given(i/m) or in sever pain, inj Fortwin can be given. A 5-day antibiotic course is also advisable. For this, Ciprofloxacin 500 mg(twice daily) is a good choice.

I think, I healed it properly...

well based on the burning part and burning condition, first add must be given. The most common first aid for burn is cold water, not very chilled but should not be normal. Cold water will definitly give some relief to the burn part of the body.

Then you can have tooth paste applied to the burning part for couple of hours and then you can see a doctor for the other help. make sure toothpaste must have menthol in higher density.
