you should always be on the rear side of the door no matter for whom you are opening the door. The logic is if you are opening for somebody, there is someone who has to enter or exit and if you block the entrance or exit... there might be a problem.

Why you will open the door for female friend? A friend is a friend. Its an era of gender equality. She can do what you can do. Infact much better than the male counter-parts. Don`t argue with me, its you shabby males who have kept the fairies in the confinement of homes. All they have been doing for centuries is closing and opening doors for their whole lifes for parents, for elders, for ridiculous husbands. Its like we are watch dogs. Do you want to suggest that? How can you think about curtesies and etiquettes when such mentality still prevails in society. Who thinks about it? Here I find you Vikas suggesting that even in the age of cars, i.e. modern era female should not be allowed to progress to car-doors. Shame on you. In case she wishes you to open the door, because you do a job of mechanic then you should not be asking such a question. Its only you who knows better. There may be other possibilities like, she may have a toddler with her. Go ahead and show your best curtesious way. Remember its for baby not for her. Its much more difficult to handle baby then to turn the knob of car door.  

Cars need oil to run. Majority of cars run on oil. From where this oil comes? Indeed from petrol station. We may face oil shortage one day. What will happen? Car won`t run forget about opening the door. If the door is not properly oiled it may not open inspite of having petrol, diesel or any other oil.
